The Daüggers are an energetic 4-piece indie rock band based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Originally formed in Bloomington, Minnesota, in 2024, The Daüggers first started to gain traction after setting a new attendance record at Driftwood Char Bar as their first official show back in June of 2025.
The band’s debut single “Flood My Mind”, released in 2025, remains their most streamed song sitting at over 10,000 plays on Spotify alone. later that year, The Daüggers went on to independently release ‘She’s alright’, an 8 track album along with their single “dewey”, with the help of producer tony perkins— further expanding their discography. With songs that will get you bouncing around and chanting lyrics within a sea of people, The Daüggers have found a way to capture the attention of every crowd they’re put in front of.

the backstory
The Daüggers started the way all the best bands do — completely by accident, in a basement, around a beat-up drum kit.
It all began when singer/guitarist Dylan Korman met drummer Gabe Sturz through a few mutual friends. Dylan asked him to jam sometime, and once they got together, it was obvious they needed a bassist to round out their sound. Dylan picked up the phone and called Jerrik Miller, a friend he met at a random lunch table in highschool where they'd bonded over music. Dylan asked Jerrik to tag along for the next jam, as well as Guitarist Jackson Ocel, Dylan's coworker, to add some more depth to the group after mentioning he'd always wanted to start a band. By early 2024, the four of them were jamming together consistently and officially decided to be a band.
they found playing music together was much easier than figuring out a name for their band. with their first show approaching, they knew a decision had to be made, so the following practice, the guys got together to brainstorm. while discussing names, Gabe noticed the jersey Dylan was wearing— it was his dad's old floor hockey jersey with "The Daüggers" written across the front. out of CURIOSITY, gabe asked dylan where the name, the daüggers, came from. it was the team name for his father’s 1986 floor hockey team, inspired by the nickname his father called his childhood dog ‘cheif’. One glance and everyone was sold. The umlaut (Ü) stuck around on purpose too — as an ode both to family roots and to Minneapolis music history, echoing local legends Hüsker Dü.
They played their first show that May — throwing together a six song set list filled with energy for a basement show on Gabe's birthday — and just kept going from there. By February 2025 they had self-recorded their debut single, "Flood My Mind," which sparked a bigger goal for the daüggers: record a full album before everyone went back to college in the fall. That summer kicked off with a packed show at The Driftwood Char Bar, then months of writing and recording with producer Tony Perkins across basements and garages. Days before Dylan left for school, they wrapped up mixing and mastering their album and finished the summer with a release show at dylan’s house. Their debut album, She's Alright, dropped in August 2025 — and people loved it way more than expected. Over winter break, they set a new attendance record for Driftwood char bar and debuted their now crowd favorite song, "Dewey."
Summer 2026 brought them back together again, and the momentum hasn't slowed: a sold-out show at Pillar Forum (complete with their first-ever merch — a burned CD with bonus tracks), then an even bigger backyard show with fellow Minneapolis band Syncline, and stone ark, leading them to selling out of CDs and DIY t-shirts alike. Later that summer, the daüggers played alongside Salt Lake city’s ‘overunder’ at amsterdam bar, and took part in the first show for skyway theater’s live & loud showcase.
Now that they have a full album and a handful of singles under their belt, The Daüggers are looking forward to keeping the momentum going, with more music scheduled for release later this year, and more shows on the horizon.
